Alta Homes LLC is specialized in cabin builds and cabin finishes in Danville, Virginia and a two-hour radius. Not every contractor is allowed or experienced with this work. We are.
How We Build
A cabin is not a standard house with rustic paint. Timber porches, wood ceilings, metal roofs, and cabin-grade trim take a different skill set, and not every contractor is allowed or experienced with those finishes. Alta Homes is specialized in cabin construction from the pad through the last board of trim. HVAC, plumbing, and electrical come through partners we coordinate, so you still have one builder to call.
The Process
Most cabin sites sit on grade, trees, and access that a catalog plan will not survive. We start on the land.
Custom or kit, the drawing has to match the lot, the roof, and the finish package before we price it.
Structure, envelope, and weather on a wooded site. The house has to be tight before the cabin finish goes in.
Wood ceilings, timber porches, trim, and the details that separate a cabin from a standard stick-built house.

Yes. Cabin finishes are a different skill set than a standard home. Not every contractor is allowed or experienced with that work. Alta Homes is specialized in cabin construction and cabin-grade finish.
Yes. If the lot is within two hours of Danville, Virginia, we will come walk it and tell you what it takes to build a cabin there.
The structure can look similar. The finish does not. Wood ceilings, timber porches, metal roofs, and cabin-grade trim take crews who have done that work before.
We are based in Danville and service two hours in any direction, including Southside Virginia, the Lynchburg corridor, and the nearby North Carolina piedmont.
